On Thursday, October 13th, Ottawa volunteer organization Vixens Victorious is proud to present The Art of Hope; an evening dedicated to Ottawa arts, music and fashion. Proceeds from this very special evening will benefit The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. Each local, talented participant has been touched by cancer, as either a survivor or caregiver and want use their creativity as a form of healing and giving back. Guests will have an opportunity to see their work and hear their stories while supporting local cancer care.
Local Software Distributor, Kivuto has generously donated their event space, the Annex located at 151 George Street to host this unique and collaborative fundraising event. The evening will include a fashion show, live musical entertainment, dance performances, an auction/raffle and interactive displays featuring local artisans. Line up and tickets will be made available later this year.
Vixens Victorious is a volunteer organization committed to raising awareness and funds on behalf of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. It was created by two childhood friends, Jennifer Mulligan and Jennifer Mielke who experienced cancer first hand as a care giver and as a survivor. Their experiences inspired them to create a meaningful organization with a personal touch in order to give back to the community.
Since Jennifer Mielke’s cancer treatments, she has come in contact with many talented and creative individuals impacted by cancer who also wish to give back. The Art of Hope is platform that allows a number of local artists to get together and communally make a difference in the community
The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation is the voice for cancer survivorship in Eastern Ontario. The Cancer Foundation is a leader in our community in providing local residents with increased access to person-centered care through the delivery of the Cancer Coaching health service, innovative cancer research and a world-class clinical trials program.
