The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation
The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation is the voice for cancer survivorship in Eastern Ontario. The Cancer Foundation is a leader in our community in providing local residents with increased access to person-centered care through the delivery of the Cancer Coaching health service, innovative cancer research and a world-class clinical trials program.
It’s estimated that this year, 6,289 people will be diagnosed with cancer in the Ottawa area. Thankfully, through events like this one, money raised has a direct impact on these patients; the Cancer Foundation helped with a $5 million donation for the expansion of the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre – this crosses over to be 1,300 more patients treated per year. Similar support gave 1,500 patients access to 70 local clinical trials. And $589, 000 went towards the purchase of the CyberKnife – state of the art cancer treatment. Thank you for supporting events like these. For more information please visit www.ottawacancer.ca.
